"It will come about that he who is left in Zion and remains in Jerusalem will be called holy - everyone who is recorded for life in Jerusalem" - Isaiah 4:3 Chapter 4 of Isaiah tells us what happens to those who perservere. There is some good symbolism in this chapter, and all of it points to a glorious shelter that will surrond the Israelite people who go through the trial of "purging" and remain steadfast.
