Isaiah 9

"In spite of all this, His anger does not turn away and His hand is still stretched out." Three times Isaiah uses this phrase in chapter 9: Verses 12,17 and 21. The message here is clear - sometimes bad things happen to us. Sometimes we, in this fallen world, hurt. We prosper and fall and cry and laugh and build and tear down, we feel like God is with us and we feel alone. Solomon said "To everything there is a season..." And in spite of all this, two things are true: God's anger is still under God's authority. And God's hand is still reaching out and covering you and me.
