James 5:19 - 20
My brethren, if any among you strays from the truth, and one turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his ways will save his soul from death, and will cover a multitude of sins.
James is continuing to connect us to each other.
Just as Paul challenged us to be like minded and live in unity, James is telling us that our sins are not the only ones we should be concerned with: we should look to remove other's sins as well.
When a brother or sister strays from the truth, our temptation is to judge him or her. Or maybe we remove them from fellowship. James does not subscribe to judgment, but instead tells of the benefits of helping out. What a way to end the book - When you lift someone else up, you are covering a multitude of sins... the very thing Jesus' work did for us.
Time to lend a helping hand.

Great verse and comments Tree. So does this go against "Tough Love". It seems like the line between helping someone and hurting someone overcome sin is a fine and fuzzy line sometimes.
