Ezekiel 6
In Ezekiel 6, God tells Ezekiel to turn his face toward the mountains of Israel. God basically sends a word of impending disaster on the mountains. He is telling Ezekiel that because the inhabitants have turned away from God's precepts, the very mountains themselves will tremble. This is true for every location. Remember Sodom?
But this will not be the last time that God wishes His people to speak to mountains. Consider this phrase, "If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there," and it will move.
We wonder, as we read Ezekiel 6, why God has us face mountains. This experience makes us grow. When we face the giant and come out a part of the victoriousness of God, we become stronger. When we say to the mountain, "Move", and it does, our faith grows. The pains of childbirth result in life!
This lays to mind a practical question: What mountains are we asked to face today?

I believe that God also uses the term "mountain" to refer to big things in our life-it can be a belief(or lack thereof), an addiction, a misplaced love. God assures us those mountains will move "with faith as small as a mustard seed," even if it's one shovelful of dirt at a time.
Blessings to you who read this and keep the faith.
