Ezekiel 38

Ezekiel 38 is all about the judgment of a place or entity named Gog.  Many people believe this to be an end times prophecy and Gog to be a symbol of the new Babylon.

For me, the key verse in this chapter is verse 23:  "And I [God] shall magnify Myself, sanctify Myself, and make Myself known in the sight of many nations; and they will know that I am the Lord."

Do you ever wonder how the end of the world relates to the glory of God?  It does.  Why?  Because God is in control of all things.  We are often happy with God being the Alpha, the Creator.  The Omega is harder for us to swallow.

What Ezekiel is saying is simple:  God wants to be magnified - and God will be magnified.  The Lord's magnification comes through the beginning, the end, judgment, mercy, help, hope, time, hurt...

"And they will know that I am the Lord..."
