Ezekiel 47

Imagine God making you a promise, a deal.  You accept, but then, you do something to negate your side of the deal.  You feel like you loose the right to what God has promised you.

Now imagine that God comes in and starts to reestablish His promise to you.  How would you feel?

This is what God is doing with the people of Israel.  "No, you aren't worthy.  Yes, I am still fulfilling My side of the covenant.  Yes, I do love that much."

Ezekiel 47 establishes something new with the covenant.  A river.

This river flows from the temple in the midst of the promised land.  It brings fruit to all plants that grow near.  It is established and strong, much like a person who puts his trust in the Lord.

We are all called to be temples of God.  We all flow with living water when that connection with God is made.

What will you find in the river?
