Ezekiel 48
Here is where we end the book of Ezekiel.
In Ezekiel 48, God describes some "housekeeping" details. He tells the nation where each tribe will receive their particular inheritance. Why is this important? Because Israel needs to remember that they are cared about.
But right in the middle of the chapter, Ezekiel pauses to describe the land dedicated to the Lord; land for the temple; land for the priests...
Verses 8 through 22 remind us of what Ezekiel has been stressing all along: A land without God as center is incomplete - incongruent - ineffective.
The lesson is for man.
Put God in the center, at the heart of all you do. Take the time to figure out what your inheritance to others is. Is God at the center of your gifts?
Will you show Jesus to all who experience you?
