Philippians 3:20-21

"For our citizenship is in Heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; Who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself"

Have you ever felt like there is something more to life, but you just couldn't understand it yet?

Have you ever felt like you didn't completely belong here?

We do not.

Paul is reminding the Philippians about the land of the free.  Not this home, but their eventual home in Heaven.  It is ok to be a little disgusted with this earth, perhaps this is why Jesus challenged us to pray that God's will be done on earth, just as it is in Heaven.

And, the best part, we are waiting for a Savior from Heaven.  As is the "homeland" wasn't great enough, God will send His son from the place to rescue us here.  Rescue us how? you may ask:

Conforming us to His glory, with His power (that He already exhibits every day) He will make us into what we were meant to be.  And that is exactly what Jesus does when He enters our lives - starts the transformation.  I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it.
