The Hebrew language has an interesting way of saying "the best".  Often a word is repeated to add emphasis.  This is where we get the title King of kings.  Jesus is not a king, he is "The best King!".

Lord of lord's:  He is not one of the lord's.  No.  He is "The best Lord."  Above all others.  Different.  Higher...

And Song of Songs is much like that.

Your challenge to today is to dwell on the premise of Song of Songs.  Why is it in the Bible?  Why is it the best song?  Maybe read through the book once - to get a feel for it's direction.

You may not have a "beloved" on this earth, but all of us are called "beloved" by God.  This study will help us practice the joy of being like the Bride of Christ.
