Song of Songs 5:8-9

"I adjure you, oh daughters of Jerusalem, if you find my beloved, as to what you will tell him:  for I am lovesick."
"What kind of beloved is your beloved, oh most beautiful among women?  What kind of beloved is your beloved, that thus you adjure us?"

The first quote is the bride, the second is the chorus.

This is a very important aspect of Song of Songs and an important aspect of our relationship with Christ.  Here, the bride connects with the chorus.  She challenges them to consider what they will say to the groom if they see him.  She suggests:  "I am lovesick."

They ask her, why is he so important?  What makes him better than others?

And in the following verses, she answers their question.

Why is this so important?

Here, the song takes a turn toward community.  In effect, Song of Songs tells us of the importance of group dynamics when it comes to love.

Your challenge today is to consider how groups of people help you with your relationship with Christ.
