Song of Songs 6:1-3
"Where has your beloved gone, O most beautiful among women? Where has your beloved turned, that we may seek him with you?"
"My beloved has gone down to his garden, to the beds of balsam, to pasture his flock in the gardens and gather lilies. I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine, he who pastures his flock among the lilies."
The first quote is the chorus of women, the second is the bride's response.
This is an interesting comment on love. The chorus of women have just been informed that the beloved is not near her husband. She tells them to help her look for him. They agree.
This is a great picture of what the church is supposed to look like.
The bride knows where he is - she tells them to look with her in the garden, that he is pasturing the sheep. She knows where he is working and invokes her friends to help discover him.
We must help others search for Jesus as well. We must point in His direction.
Your challenge today is to look for where God is working. Then maybe we will point in his direction (this is called testimony)
