Song of Songs 7:6-10
"How beautiful and how delightful you are, my love, with all your charms! Your stature is like a palm tree, and your breasts are like its clusters. I said, I will climb the palm tree, I will take hold of its fruit stalks. Oh, may your breasts be like clusters of the vine, and the fragrance of your breath like apples, and your mouth like the best wine! It goes down smoothly for my beloved, flowing gently through the lips of those who fall asleep."
"I am my beloved's and his desire is for me."
This first quote is from the groom. The second quote is from the bride.
Here, the groom completes a series of praises directed at the bride. Then, the bride responds with a certain confidence. She tells Solomon: I am my beloved's and his desire is for me.
This is the bride's way of saying that she knows Solomon loves her. This is a picture of confidence and faith. I know you love me, beloved.
I know you love me, husband.
I know you love me, sister.
I know You love me, Jesus.
Your challenge today - remember Who loves you.
