Mark 8:1-10

Mark describes for us the second time that Jesus feeds thousands of people with only a few loaves and fishes.

If you watch the disciples through this second feeding, you find them almost loosing faith.  How is that possible?  Have you ever been so wrapped up in the miraculous work of Jesus that you are almost shell shocked?  This is what is happening with His disciples.

I think this is why Jesus serves the people through the disciples.

When we get our hands dirty with work, the work tends to take on a certain reality.  We will find out later (verse 16) that the disciples forgot to bring the surplus of bread - this is actually a sign of their growing faith.  That they will have nothing to worry about when they are with the Master.
