Verse 10 tells us that the disciples seized upon a statement.

Have you ever heard something from God and been fixed on it?  Something that Jesus said made all of His disciples stop what they were doing and listen intently.  Then, they could not let it go.  They discussed it.  They debated it.  The questioned it.

What does God mean by, "Rise from the dead"?

Herein lies our challenge as well.  It was not only the disciples that had difficulty wrapping around the idea of God dying - and then conquering death.  We struggle as well.  The disciples began to ask about the last days, and Elijah's part in that story.  Jesus' answer to this inquiry - Elijah has already come...

Where does that leave us?

Maybe today we would take the lead from the disciples and focus on one statement:  God rose from the dead.
