Mark 13:5-13
Jesus begins to pant a picture of the final days of earth. He tells His disciples that there will be rumors of wars and false Messiahs and court dates and death - all as a sign of the end.
Jesus begins this dialog by telling His disciples to be careful that we are not misled. Isn't that interesting? Jesus says that people will come in His name, proclaiming a similar message to His, and in His power over the court system, but we are not to fall for it.
This leads us to the ultimate question: How can we avoid being misled?
Is the answer found in this chapter? I believe the first part of the answer is found right here. We are supposed to take the knowledge of what will happen and use it to prepare ourselves. We are NOT supposed to use this knowledge to guess at the time, we are simply to use it to know the time when it is here.
Are you prepared?
