Micah 2:9-11

"The women of My people you evict, each one from her pleasant house.  From her children you take My splendor forever.  Arise and go, for this is no place of rest because of the uncleanliness that brings on destruction, a painful destruction.  If a man walking after wind and falsehood had told lies and said, 'I will speak out to you concerning wine and liquor,' he would be spokesman to this people."

You remember the leaders or false prophets from verse 6.  Here is the final word in chapter 2 for them.  This will not be a place of rest because of the ungodliness of these people.  Instead, pain and destruction will reign in their lives.  All because they would not preach the truth.

More than that, the people will suffer because of their willingness to listen to false prophets.  Micah says, "If a man walking after wind and falsehood had told lies... he would be spokesman to this people."

Here is the gist:  Please man or please God.  That is the decision we must make.

He who is like Jehovah decides to please God.
