Micah 3:7-8

"The seers will be ashamed and the diviners will be embarrassed.  Indeed, they will all cover their mouths because there is no answer from God.  On the other hand, I am filled with power - with the Spirit of the Lord - and with justice and courage to make known to Jacob his rebellious act, even to Israel his sin."

Micah is making a bold move here.  Reminding others of their sin is always difficult.  We are all sinners.  We all struggle.

So when one man tells a nation that they should look at themselves more carefully, he had better be able to back it up.

Micah does.

Micah tells us that he is filled with power so he can preach justice to others.  More concisely, he is filled with the Holy Spirit.

Here comes the important part:  We can be filed with the Holy Spirit as well.  Micah didn't think it was important - he thought it was necessary.  There would be no way to do or say what he did and said if it were not from God.  That visitation changed his attitude about sin.  Being filled with the Spirit of the Lord moved him toward justice.

He who is like Jehovah seeks God's presence.
