Acts 12:20-23

"Now he was very angry with the people of Tyre and Sidon; and with one accord they came to him, and having won over Blastus the king's chamberlain, they were asking for peace, because their country was fed by the king's country.  On an appointed day Herod, having put on his royal apparel, took his seat on the rostrum and began delivering an address to them.  The people kept crying out, 'The voice of a god and not of a man!'  And immediately an angel of the Lord struck him because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and died."

There is a reason we are called to pray for our leaders, Godly or ungodly.

There is a superman complex that hurts us all.  Sometimes, when we hear the crowd chanting our name, we forget who is really in charge of our lives.  God reminds Herod that He is in charge.

And we all need that reminder as well.  In fact, that is often the cure for many things that go wrong with our psyche.  We forget too easily.

We are called to remember.  Remember God's love.  Remember God's provision.  Remember God's power.

Leaders sometimes forget because they are consumed with the voices around them.  This is why we pray for them.

Today, it would benefit you greatly to remember the source of Love.

Remember God.
