Acts 13:32-37
"And we preach to you the good news of the promise made to the fathers, that God has fulfilled this promise to our children in that He raised up Jesus, as it is also written in the second psalm, 'Thou art My Son; today I have begotten Thee.' And as for the fact that He raised Him up from the dead, no more to return to decay, He has spoken in this way: 'I will give You the holy and sure blessings of David.' Therefore He also says in another psalm, 'Thou wilt not allow Thy Holy One to undergo decay.' For David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep, and was laid amongst his fathers, and underwent decay; but He whom God raised did not undergo decay."
God loves you.
This is the point of these quotes from scripture. Paul is trying to get across a very pertinent message: God does not decay. If God does not decay, then Jesus does not decay.
And that is why He came to earth. Because there is something that keeps getting the best of every human: death. Death was winning, until it met Jesus (The One who does not decay).
Jesus is God's way of saying, among other things, I have control over death. Death does not win - God wins!
And if God has control over death, then the one thing that keeps beating us must be under submission.
To say that God controls death is to say that God has a plan... for you... for me...
He loves us that much.
God loves you.
