Acts 19:8-10
"And he entered the synagogue and continued speaking out boldly for three months, reasoning and persuading them about the kingdom of God. But when some were becoming hardened and disobedient, speaking evil of the Way before the people, he withdrew from them and took away the disciples, reasoning daily in the school of Tyrannus. This took place for two years, so that all who lived in Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks."
Paul moves from place to place speaking about Jesus. This is the way he operates. This is the way he feels called.
But do not think of him as a temporary visitor, Paul also understands how important investment is.
When the people begin complaining about the Way, that is the family of believers in the Way, Paul finds a different venue. He was preaching in the synagogue, now he looks for a school.
Paul refuses to give up on this city, though they fight against his words. And for two years, Paul works toward the harvest.
How would you handle this disappointment? Would you adjust your style so that people would still hear about Jesus? Would you run to another place?
Investment is the only way to see changes made in people... to bring them Life.
