Acts 28:29-31
"When he had spoken these words, the Jews departed, having a great dispute among themselves. And he stayed two full years in his own rented quarters and was welcoming all who came to him, preaching the kingdom of God and teaching concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with all openness, unhindered."
The key word, as we finish the book of Acts, is the word "unhindered". Paul is allowed to preach unhindered. Though he is in prison, he speaks out with boldness and freedom.
That is what Christ brings to us: freedom in prison.
There is no denying the fact that we are strangers here. When we forget that, we become too comfortable. We become forgetful of the price paid to make us free from this place.
Paul is in prison, he knows the price of freedom - chains.
Yet still he is free.
Would you be free today? Would you, though you are in a prison of your own, drop your chains and trade them with the Lord Jesus Christ? Would you surrender your freedom that you would be free?
Today is the day that you should live - unhindered.
