Ruth 1:15-18
"Then she said, 'Behold, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and her gods; return after your sister-in-law;' But Ruth said, 'Do not urge me to leave you or turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you lodge, I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God. Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. Thus may the Lord do to me, and worse, if anything but death parts you and me.' When she saw that she was determined to go with her, she said no more to her."
Part of love is devotion. Ruth is displaying Godly devotion.
There is a reason that devotion speaks so boldly and clearly to the human heart. It is because we long to be loved. We long to be important to others. We wish for a time when we are the stars of the show.
This is where we see God. God's glory is always accomplished. It must be. In fact, it is impossible for the Lord and Creator to have anything less.
Yet, God continually pours out His love on us. We receive His attention - exactly when we needed.
The Lover is glorified because He loves. He loves us. And He shows that love to us with His dedication.
The Lover will not leave or forsake.
