"No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us and His love is perfected in us.  By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.  We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world."

No one has seen God at any time, but John tells us that the closest we can get is to love one another.

So, the way that we love is directly connected to our contact with the Creator of all things.  That is good news for those who have given up their desire to love only themselves and have embraced a desire to see God - to love others - to follow His commandments.

And this love for others, this is how we testify of God's power and presence in our lives.

If you seek righteousness - seek a love for your neighbor.
