Hope for Wednesday
Job 13:15 - "Though He slay me, I will hope in Him. Nevertheless I will argue my ways before Him."
Few people will ever understand pain the way that Job did. And, consequently, few people will ever understand hope the way Job did.
Job's statement here is prickling, because it goes deep to each of our hearts. Would we continue to have hope if we were treated the way Job was? Would we be able to make that statement? Job is suggesting that his hope is secure in God even when God runs him through with death and destruction.
In the end though, we begin to understand that true hope is born out of true pain.
What has caused pain in your life? Has that pain moved you to hope?
Do you look at everyday events as God's way of showing you Himself?
Would you be able to make Job's statement?
