Peace for Friday

Romans 5:19 - "For as through the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous."

Joseph is told, by the angel, that his Son will save His people from their sins.  As far as Joseph knows, this is the only task for Jesus.  Now imagine the burden that would have lifted from Joseph.  Only moments before, Joseph was wrestling with the sin of his betrothed, Mary.  He thought she had been unfaithful.  He was wrong.  But regardless, Joseph was dealing with sin.

Jesus takes away our sin.  Yours and mine.  All of it.

Sin entered the world through the lineage of Adam - for it was his responsibility to guard Eve from sin.

Jesus regains that responsibility and takes it one step farther.  Not only will He protect us from sin, but will completely heal us from the burrowing effects.  He will make us righteous.

Will you accept Jesus as your Savior from sin?
How does Jesus help you deal with sin?  How does Jesus protect you from the sin you love?
Where was Jesus when sin entered the lives of Adam and Eve?
