Peace for Saturday

Matthew 26:46 - "And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying ,'Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?'  That is, 'My God, My God, Why hast Thou forsaken me?'"

Where was Jesus when sin entered the lives of Adam and Eve?

Sin is simple separation from God.  It is painful, and we all must endure it.  Christ rescues us all from that sin.

When we realize the power of Jesus' birth, we also must look at the cross.  This is where Jesus looked as He watched Adam and Eve eat of the tree in the midst of the garden.  Sin's weight was already upon Him.  Sin had already separated Him from us.

That is why Jesus came, to learn of us.  If there is one thing an all knowing God cannot know it is how to be separated from God.  Jesus took the form of flesh so that He could draw close to us, and thus teach us how to end that separation.

Jesus was never separated from God, but isn't it a joy to know that He can relate to the feelings that we have?
Have you ever been separated from God?  Has God ever made a move to separate us from Him?
How has God restored your relationship with Him?
