Genesis 2:7 - "Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.'

We are created with many attributes, but here we see two that seem to be in opposition to each other.

On the one hand, we are created with the breath of God.  We have within us a part of God.  In God's creative wisdom, we are given a tie to the Creator that no other creature has.  There is something different about us because we are connected to the Father.

As long as we have breath, God is with us.

On the other hand, we are always connected to the ground.  The dirt is our source as well.  No other creature was created from dirt - they were simply thought up and spoken into existence.  We are filled with humility and will always be tied to the earth.

Humility and holy in the same package.  We must always strive for the best of both.
