Hide and Seek

Genesis 3:9 - "Then the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, 'Where are you?'"

Here we see God in His most active role - seeking us.  In fact, God seems to be seeking us often.  In Luke 15, God tells a few parables about the importance of seeking the lost.  The moral of those parables is:  Much rejoicing is made when one who needs repentance is found.

The moral of our Genesis text is the same.  God calls out for Adam and Eve.  They answer, 'We are here.'  And God immediately begins the consequences / grace giving.

Will we say, like Adam and Eve, here we are?  Will we surrender our hiding spot to find God seeking us?

The power of God in our lives is often displayed by the fact that God is searching for us.

React to God's power today.
