I've got a great idea

Genesis 16:2 - "So Sarai said to Abram, 'Now behold, the Lord has prevented me from bearing children, please go in to my maid, perhaps I shall obtain children through her.'  And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai."

I am still so amazed at the way the whole Bible tells the story of Jesus.

In Genesis 16, Sarai says something interesting to me:  She tells Abram that God has prevented her from having children.  Then she says, but I want to have children, so...

We are quickly approaching Palm Sunday.  This is the celebration of a time when the people of Israel said, 'God has given us a king, Herod...  but I want to have a different king, so...'  And the people proclaimed the King to be Jesus.  This was, however, short-lived.  We need to learn to wait on God's timing.  Sarai needed to learn that too.

Hurtful things happen when we decide for ourselves that God's timing is not good enough, or quick enough for us.

Today might be the day that God let's you wait for Him.
