Ephesians 1:22-23
And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all."
Remember that Paul is writing this letter to a church. So what he tells them at the end of Chapter 1 is meant to reassure and encourage them.
God is actively involved in the mission of the church.
This is why Paul is praying, remember verse 15? Paul sees the saints love for the saints. Paul sees that they love the church. Not the building. Not the meeting spot. The people The ones struggling.
They echo God's love for the body of Christ. Now Paul reminds them that their love is not waste. God works in the church by establishing its Head. Christ is alive and well in the church.
He is concerned for you.
