Ephesians 2:13
"But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ."
Christ changes everything.
Paul uses the words 'far off' and 'near' to describe our proximity to relationship with God.
We are far away from God at the beginning of our lives. That was the beginning of the journey. Our hope is to be at a place in our journey where we walk with Christ. The end of the journey is complete intimacy with God.
There has always been a problem with this journey: no road. no pathway.
Now Christ enters the scenario.
His blood is the path we take to God.
Through Christ, God is able to say to us, "Welcome home".
