Ephesians 2:17-18
"And He came and preached peace to you who were far away, and peace to those who were near; for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father."
Paul is simultaneously reminding us of a fulfilled prophecy and a fulfilled promise.
Isaiah 57 describes a quality to look for in Messiah: The Lord will say, "Peace peace to him who is far and to him who is near." (verse 19)
And because God came and preached, what do we receive? Access to the Father.
We are healed. Death has gone and peace has taken its place in our hearts.
So we access God.
What will you tell Him today?
